Sunny Skies Mark Easter 2025

We hope you had a wonderful Easter holiday! Here in Akureyri, the weather was especially kind, offering sunshine and mild temperatures throughout the weekend. Ski and outdoor enthusiasts truly got what they wished for, with perfect conditions on the slopes and in nature.

Attached are some beautiful photos from Mt. Hlíðarfjall, taken last weekend by Jónas Stefánsson, capturing the Easter atmosphere in the mountains.

The last official opening day of the ski area at Mt. Hlíðarfjall will be Saturday, April 26th — so there’s still time to enjoy the final runs of the season!
