Beautiful sunny days - but a bit cold. At this time of year the sun stays low on the horizon.
During winter the northern hemisphere is tilted away from the sun, making the sun stay lower in the sky, bringing less direct sunlight and less power per unit area. It therefore heats the earth less and leads to cold weather during our winters.
