The time has finally come—we are opening the ski area in Mt. Hlíðarfjall (8 min drive from the town center) tomorrow, Saturday, from 10 AM to 4 PM!
The initial opening will be limited to the lower area, but hopefully, we will be able to expand further soon with continued snow production—and we’re also hoping for a good snowfall
The snow being pushed onto the slopes is almost entirely man-made. Outside the open ski trails, there is little to no snow, so off-piste skiing is not available at this time. In the cross-country area, there are two options available—3.5 km and 1.2 km.
The pre-sale of season passes has been extended until January 10th, so make sure to grab your pass at a better price
We look forward to seeing as many of you as possible on the mountain this Saturday!
