The blue whale, the largest animal on Earth, is a rare and awe-inspiring sight. These gentle giants can grow up to 100 feet (30 meters) long and weigh up to 200 tons!

Despite their size, spotting a blue whale is incredibly special. They’re elusive, often traveling solo or in small groups, with only 10,000 to 25,000 left in the wild. Their long migrations make sightings even more rare, turning any encounter into a once-in-a-lifetime experience!

This Sunday, 4 blue whales were spotted in our fjord (Eyjafjörður) - how incredible and how lucky we are!
