Back to School 2020

This week it is school start in Iceland for all children aged 6 to 16, including all 8 schools in Akureyri Municipality that provide compulsory education, which comprises primary and lower secondary education.

In Akureyri there are about 2700 students in this educational level, including 220 starting school for the first time (6 years old).

In addition there are many students in the towns other upper secondary educations and in the Akureyri University.
