This trip involves hiking with minimal gear. A support vehicle will transport luggage between the huts and will follow the group throughout the journey. Participants are asked to limit their luggage as much as possible. The bus will pick up the group at the end of the trip. Accommodation will be in FFA huts: Dreki, Dyngjufell, and Botnar. The elevation gain on this route is minimal.

Day 1, Sunday:
Drive to Dreki, with a stop at Herðubreiðarlindir. A short stop at Dreki, where the bus will wait for the group and then take them to Vikraplan. From there, the hike continues to Öskjuvatn, with a visit to Víti. The group will then hike back over the mountains and return to Dreki for the night.
Distance: 13-14 km

Day 2, Monday:
Drive to Vikraplan. Hike along the marked path over Dyngjufjöll, through Jónsskarð, and down into Dyngjufjalladal. Overnight at Dyngjufell, FFA hut.
Distance: 14 km

Day 3, Tuesday:
From Dyngjufell, hike north along Dyngjufjalladal to Suðurárbotn. Overnight at Botnar, FFA hut.
Distance: 20-22 km

Day 4, Wednesday:
Last day; follow the old jeep trail from Botnar to Suðurárbotn, then along Suðurá to Svartárkot.
Distance: 15-16 km
Return by bus to Akureyri, expected arrival around 17:00.

Maximum Participants: 14 people. The guide will contact participants before departure regarding gear and other details.

Included: Support vehicle, bus transport, three nights' accommodation, and guiding services.

A confirmation fee of 10,000 ISK must be paid within 14 days after receiving the payment request in online banking. The full amount for the trip must be paid three days before departure. A payment request will be issued in online banking.
