Then the Music Workshop is for you! It’s open to all children in grades 5–10 in primary schools across North East Iceland.
What the Music Workshop Offers:
- Learn how to compose music
- Analyze song structures
- Collaborate on compositions in a group
- Get inspiration to create your own song
Workshop Leaders:
- Greta Salóme: A renowned Icelandic musician, twice a Eurovision representative for Iceland, and the Music Director of UPPTAKTURINN in Akureyri – the Children's and Youth Music Creation Awards.
- Egill Andrason: A musician, composer, and actor, nominated for the Gríma Awards. Egill has composed music for the Akureyri Theater Company, the National Theater of Iceland, and other projects, including the European production Teenage Songbook of Love and Sex.

About the Leaders:
- Greta Salóme has been the Music Director of UPPTAKTURINN since 2021 and is a household name in Iceland due to her Eurovision performances.
- Egill Andrason is a multi-talented artist who has composed music for prominent theaters, released the album Lygasögur, and regularly performs with Improv Iceland as a spontaneous musical creator.
