Sumartónar, summer youth concert 2025 is offering our Eurovision contestants Icelanders 2025!

The VÆB brothers, along with the girl band Skandal, are singing the summer away at the Children's Cultural Festival in Akureyri this year!

It will be a true musical feast with a Eurovision vibe on the Hamraborgar stage in Hof at the Summer Festival of the Youth Council of Akureyri, the Culture House of Hof and Akureyri Town on the occasion of the Children's Cultural Festival in Akureyri.

The VÆB brothers are coming to Akureyri for the first time!

The VÆB brothers, Matthías Davíð and Hálfdán Helgi Matthíassynir, shot to stardom last year when they first participated in the qualifying round of the Icelandic TV Song Contest. This year, however, as everyone knows, they won with the hugely popular song RÓA, which they wrote themselves. They will represent Iceland in Eurovision in Switzerland in May and every child in Iceland will be watching with excitement!

They will perform all their main songs and promise a boisterous atmosphere!

Skandall is a girl band originating from the North that has been operating since 2022. The band consists of Helga Björg (electric bass and viola), Inga Rós (vocals), Kolfinna Ósk (keyboards and violin), Margrét (electric bass and electric guitar), Sóley Sif (drums and backing vocals) and Sólveig Erla (flute).

Their career is starting in earnest and they have played many outdoor festivals, balls, etc. and have participated in and won various competitions, such as Söngkeppni MA and Viðarstauk.

The presenters of Sumartóni are París Anna Bergmann and Rebekka Rut Birgisdóttir.
