Christmas Square
In the Christmas houses various goods will be sold that are usually related to the festivities in one way or another, and organized events for children and adults will be offered every day.
The Christmas Square program for the weekend 7th-8th December can be seen below:
Saturday 7 December
At 13-17 Christmas goods in Christmas houses
At 14.00 Members of Paw Patrol visit the area in a Christmas spirit and dance with the children
At 14.45 Santas visit the square and make the children happy
At 16 Jónína Björt and Valmar Väljaots perform Christmas songs
Other things in the city center:
- Vamos will have a Christmas atmosphere outside at square and offers roasted almonds, Christmas mulled wine, cocoa, churros and Christmas pizza
- At Christmas Square, a multinational group of volunteers organized by the Red Cross will have the Welfare Star for sale to support the Welfare Fund of the Eyjafjörður Region. Every Christmas, the fund distributes Christmas aid to less wealthy individuals and families in the area. Free cup of cocoa with every star sold
- Black books at 12.00-17.00 Svartarbækur antique bookstore, Strandgata 11b
- The Christmas Adventure, exhibition in the window at Hafnarstræti 88. The sisters Brynja and Áslaug Harðardóttir Tveiten, also known as Ms. Blómfríður, are responsible for the exhibition. The sisters encourage everyone to take a trip by the window and step into the Christmas adventure with them for a while.
- Icewear: 10.00-18.00: Icewear four stores in the city center (Two clothing stores, a souvenir store and a yarn store)
- 66°North: 10.00-18.00: 66°Nord with Christmas offer - 20% of hats with other purchases, 20% of shirts if 2 or more are bought, 20% of all bags with other purchases, 15% of children's sets.
- Vorhus: 11.00-16.00
- Stjörnusól at 11.00-21.00: Offer 15% discount on all cards for light pot and infrared sauna
- Centro: 10.00-18.00
- JMJ and Joes: 11.00-18.00
- Bláa kannan café 10.00-22.00
