The Christmas Square program for the weekend 21st-22nd December can be seen below:

Saturday, December 21st

At 2 pm.: Vendors will have Christmas-themed merchandise in decorated Christmas houses.

At 2 pm.: Vamos will have a Christmas atmosphere outside at square and offers roasted almonds, Christmas mulled wine, cocoa, churros and pizza.

At 2:30 pm.: The Paw Patrol visit the christmas square and entertain the kids.

At 3:00 pm.: The Akureyri Church Choir will sing at the Centro store.

At 3:30 pm.: The Santas will visit the store Penninn Eymundsson.

Sunday, December 22nd

At 2pm: Vendors have Christmas-themed merchandise in decorated Christmas houses.

At 2pm: Vamos will have a Christmas atmosphere outside at square and offers roasted almonds, Christmas mulled wine, cocoa, churros and pizza.

At 2:30 pm: The Paw Patrol returns.

At 15.15: The Santas visit the Christmas Square.

At 16.00: The church steps at Akureyri Church are opened since renovations.

Other activities available in the town center:

The secondhand bookstore Svartar bækur at Strandgata 11b will be open on Saturday and Sunday from 12 PM to 5 PM.
The shop Centro will be open until 6 PM on Sunday and until 10 PM on Þorláksmessa (23rd of December).
Sykurverk Café will have extended opening hours over the weekend.
Origo will hold special Christmas opening hours on Saturday.
