Húni II is a 130-ton oak boat, built in the KEA shipyard in Akureyri in 1963. Today, the Industrial Museum in Akureyri has the boat at its disposal, but Hollvinir Húni II (society of the friends of the boat) take care of the operation.

A total of over 100 oak boats were built in Iceland between 1940 and 1970. The Húni II is the only intact boat of this size that currently exists in Iceland. Húni II was released for fishing for 30 years and it is estimated that the total catch was 32,000 tons. In 1994, it was taken off the ship's register and was scheduled to be burned on New Year's Eve. Visionaries Þorvaldur Skaftason and Erna Sigurbjörnsdóttir wanted to acquire the boat in order to preserve historical relics of shipbuilding in Iceland, and they got involved. Húni II was registered again in 1995 and for several years was operated as a whale watching boat, first from Skagaströnd and later from Hafnarfjörður.
