The walk follows Svarfaðardalsá River through Friðland Svarfdæla, a nature reserve with diverse birdlife. Birds can be easily observed, for example, from the birdwatching hut by Tjarnartjörn Pond. The route is comfortable, following trails and paths.
There is an option to visit Hánefsstaðareitur, a peaceful area where visitors can stroll, sit at a scenic spot by the river, and take in the views of the mountains, birds, and other natural wonders. The guide will decide where the tour ends.
