A session on the significance of reading to children from an early age. In icelandic.
During this educational morning, Auður will discuss how reading comprehension is built on language understanding and reading skills, and how reading to and with young children can support their future reading comprehension.
Reading sessions with young children are a valuable gift from adults to children. Reading aloud provides countless opportunities, both directly and indirectly, to expand vocabulary and teach children to infer and reflect on information from texts. These crucial skills accompany children into formal reading education in primary school.

"We encourage you to attend the event in an environmentally friendly manner. Public transport is free, and all city buses stop in the town center, just 300 meters from the library."
