The route follows the eastern side of Eyjafjörður to Öngulsstaðir, where we turn left onto a gravel road leading to a parking area near a summer house. From there, we follow a marked trail to the cairn on Haus, which is the first stage of the hike to Staðarbyggðarfjall. The trail involves some elevation gain but is easy to walk. The view from the top is stunning, making it a great experience to share with children on a beautiful summer evening.
