The hike starts at the parking lot below Kaupangur. The route follows the old bridge over Eyjafjarðará and continues along the riverbanks. Along the way, participants will pass the abandoned farm Kaupangsbakki, where stories about the area will be shared. A comfortable trail follows the river all the way to the bridge at Hrafnagil. At this time of year, beautiful autumn colors should be visible throughout the landscape. Cars will need to be relocated between Kaupangur and the bridge at Hrafnagil.
