Two middle-aged women, completely unaware of each other’s existence, come up with the exact same crazy idea—to make their dream come true and perform a stand-up comedy show for their birthdays. Both take the plunge, celebrating their milestone birthdays by making their debut as stand-up comedians. They are a hit, and now, they’ve caught the bug.

Now, these two women are joining forces to bring their Stand-Up Comedy Night to Akureyri—and you’re all invited!

• Auðbjörg’s set, "I Love You, Universe," explores the everyday life of a middle-aged middle manager and her complicated relationship with the universe.

• Sóley’s set, "Finding the Rhythm: Middle-Aged Stand-Up," delves into the struggle of finding one’s rhythm in life—and whether this whole thing might just be one big misunderstanding.

Of course, they’ll also attempt to figure out how they ended up in stand-up comedy… when they could have just signed up for a cross-country skiing course.
