Akureyri Cultural Night
The Anniversary of Akureyri Municipality is celebrated annually on the weekend closest to the establishment date, August 29th. This vibrant celebration, known as Akureyrarvaka, showcases a rich array of cultural events, including exhibitions, visual arts, music, science, and more.
For 2024, the festivities will take place from August 30th to September 1st. The festival brings together locals and visitors alike to enjoy a diverse range of events and experiences that reflect the spirit and creativity of Akureyri.
