Concert Hjálmar
The band Hjálmar return to the Green Hat to celebrate the band's 20th anniversary.
At the moment, it is 20 years since the first album Hjálma leit dags light. It was recorded in Geimstein in Keflavík. The album was a huge hit and earned the band the Icelandic Music Award for Rock Album of the Year as well as the name change in 2004. The band is celebrating this turning point as they played two concerts at Ölveri in Reykjavík in May to a full house and to great acclaim. Now it's time for the Green Hat, which for a long time was Hjálmi's home ground in the North. The concert at the Green Hat will be held on the 4th and 5th of October and ticket sales have started at Tix.is.
Hjalmar are known for being one of the best concert bands in Iceland, so you can expect great concerts. The band consists of Guðmundur Kristinn Jónsson, Helgi Svavar Helgason, Sigurður Guðmundsson, Valdimar Kolbeinn Sigurjónsson and Þorsteinn Einarsson.
